Once again, I am Stephanie Ruhl, and it is day 58 of the second Trump administration.

And today, a judge ruled that one of Doge's first big moves was likely unconstitutional.

The judge ordered the government to reinstate USAID, ruling that the way Elon Musk and Doge shut it down,

likely violated the United States Constitution in multiple ways.

The government now has one week to follow the order.

A different federal judge is once again ordering the government

to provide answers about its deportations over the weekend by noon tomorrow.

They were carried out using a rarely used wartime law that dated back in

1798. President Trump then responded to the situation by attacking that very judge on social

media saying he should be impeached. Well, that prompted a very rare rebuke from Supreme Court

Chief Justice John Roberts. He issued this statement,

quote, for more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an

appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review

process exists for that purpose. And just hours ago, a different federal judge temporarily blocked Trump's

ban on transgender people from serving in the military. Meanwhile, this morning, the president
