I am Dale Lally, your host, and of course, the NFL draft first round taking place tonight.

The Steelers with their first overall pick at 20 overall stayed home literally and took

a steeler or took a pit quarterback.

We can now call him Steelers quarterback.

Kenny Pickett with the first pick with their first pick.

And I'm surprised, but I'm not surprised.

If you remember at the Senior Bowl, I reported that, you know,

the Steelers would be comfortable taking Kenny Pickett with the 20th overall picket in this draft.

And that turned out to come to fruition.

The interesting thing about it was that they took him over Malik Willis.

They had their pick of quarterbacks in this draft, which hasn't happened since the late 90s.

That a quarterback has gone this late in a draft in the first round.

And, you know, for the Steelers, you know, they really looked at this.

It's an interesting look at this, I should say, in that they went with the safe pick or the safer

pick rather than the upside. And I don't know if that was the way to go in this situation.
