I think you end up going, well, let's throw out all this and let's go back a little bit further until we find something and there's kind of

a freshness in something old philosophy should not be making you a better sociopath

A lot of people might think,

what the hell is a stoic doing on a spirituality podcast?

Why would they think that?

Why would those be in conflict with each other?

Well, I agree completely.

Okay. But to a lot of people, stoicism has nothing to do with spirituality and is kind of a series

of self-help tools from the classical ages. Yes. And they don't see a correlation between

stoic philosophy of like, you know,

discipline and stillness and conflict and, uh, et cetera.

Sure.

With kind of a spiritual path.

We know that's not true.

Yes.

And I would love to talk to you about that.
