just a heads up it might help to leave a little bit earlier than you ordinarily would because there's

a concert going on at citizens bank park tonight and there's going to be a packed house at lincoln

financial field for the practice but there's's some news items and really some musings

and tips that I wanted to pass along before we get to the mailbag. And first and foremost,

wide receiver Darius Cooper, make sure you key in on him during the wide receiver defensive backs one-on-ones.

He largely wins those matchups, and I'm hoping to see him going up against someone like

a Quignan-Metro, Cooper de Gene, Keely Ringo, who has a bigger body, he's a physical guy,

to really better assess where he is and if he's able to win in those matchups.

But what I've noticed from him, whenever he goes up against the defensive back in that

scenario, he wins due to leverage, stacking defensive backs, route running, and sure hands.

He's had a tremendous training camp,

and it's not just the one preseason game.

And I know that for many of you listening,

you've seen just the one preseason game,

and that probably colors your perception.

But he's also delivered in 11 training camp practices.

So this is not just a flash in the pen in my estimation.

You guys know that I'm very measured when I assess players. And I think that he's actually done

a lot to deserve the praise that he's been getting. Also, there's going to be a lot of things
