This week brought us a host of new insights

into the relationship between Donald Trump and Republicans on Capitol Hill.

Here's the upshot of what we learned. Wow, this is much crazier and more dangerous than you thought.

First, Politico reported that Trump and House Speaker

Mike Johnson privately schemed over how to use the House to sabotage ongoing

prosecutions of Trump. Then on Thursday Trump met behind closed doors with the Republicans

on the Hill and he reportedly unleashed all kinds of strange rants, calling the Justice Department dirty bastards to no GOP criticism that I saw.

He also described Milwaukee where the GOP will hold its convention as a horrible city, and the GOP of course rushed to his defense.
