The Texas Tribune is reporting that an influential group called the True Texas Project is hosting a conference in July

that will actively promote Christian nationalism and great replacement theory.

This group, the report says, has ties to many Texas GOP officials, including Senator

Ted Cruz and Attorney General Ken Paxton, a major national MAGA celebrity and leading

supporter of Donald Trump.

We think this opens a window on a broader story.
