And on CNN, reporter Jim Acosta had a remarkable exchange with a MAGA Republican congressman, Tim Burchett,

that captured some essential storylines about this moment.

CNN's Acosta refused to let the Republican get away with pretending not to know how

horrific January 6th really was, and pinned him down on whether he thought Trump was

justified in pardoning the most

violent offenders. And Acosta finally said, this is not Fox, Congressman, you cannot pull the

wool over people's eyes. Why isn't there more questioning like this of Republicans in the media?
