It's a quiet, picturesque town where not much happens.

As you might imagine, crime rates are well below the national average.

The Hanover Police Department works in one of the safest and wealthiest communities in New England.

So like no shade on the Hanover Police Department, but like a lot of what they do is managing dumb, drunk students and like providing supplemental security at major events.

But that changed in the fall of 2021, when Hanover police were called in to investigate a serious case of financial fraud,

originating unexpectedly from the student newspaper.
