I don't do a lot of obituaries

even though having known a lot of people over the years

uh...

I

know a lot of people that die

but i don't typically mention their passing unless there is a reason I feel that it works within the show or it's of such importance to me because I could do it all too often.

But anyway, Jeff Love passed away and there will be lots of people who will hear me say that who were not aware of it.

And what's interesting about this of it.

And what's interesting about this is, first of all, Jefflov was beloved by a number of people. The firm that for many years was Liddell Sapp Zivley Hill and

Laboon that became Lock Lord, was Jeff's home for he was 74 he had only ever worked at that firm so came out

at law school and 25 so what 50 years Jeff's father was a legend not just in this town but beyond

Ben Love if you remember the TCB Texas Commerce Bank crowd.

Ben Love was a self-made man whose story was he had sold wrapping paper

in. in Tyler maybe, maybe, came to Houston and ended up a top Texas Commerce Bank which in the day was the bank in Houston.

It was the power bank back when Houston has a series of very powerful banks, bankrolling the oil and gas business that were Houston-based.

Then there was the RTC, there was a stay alive till 85, there was the breakdown, and that has started slowly coming back.

because the national banks lack a lot of that.
