got a quick story and it's a bit of a rabbit trail

So night before last my wife made a blueberry pie and my wife takes pride growing up in India, a lot of what I like, she didn't

grow up eating. She certainly didn't see, her mom passed when she was very young, but she didn't see her mom passed when she was very young but she didn't see her

grandmother cooking these things she learned to cook you know right up under the arm of

my grandmother who I called Nanny and she would go to my grandmother's trailer, sit there beside her, watch her, and my grandmother had nothing written down.

So she would write things down, which would stress my grandmother out.

Because she'd say, well, how much Rosemary did you put in? She about that much.

A pinch, a dash, you know, whatever the French. You just, you got to feel it.

She's like, Nanny, I don't know how to feel it. I don't, what do it to taste? I don't know what it's supposed

to taste like either. So she did, she did a noble job of trying to reduce to writing recipes that were by feel.

And she is a sweetheart, 34 years together, she will make things that she thinks I might like.

And often they're things that we haven't eaten in many, many years

and she'll just get a wild hair.

She'll find something online.

She'll try a recipe or she'll ask someone based on what they do or if Rosie Karaba has something

she'll ask her, you know, what goes into that are different people.

So she makes this blueberry pie and I have been on a I'd kind of stalled where I was and I

wanted to lose about 15 pounds and I had kind of got to good plateau a good place where I was

healthy and not skinny but in better shape than most men my age and certainly where I had been for so many years.

I felt pretty good about it, but I wanted to get back.
