It's that classic expectations were a little bit holy fuck. Like, I think when we spoke last week, I think that probably would have been just before all the Dahlberg stuff came out.

And I feel like going into the last few days of the window,

once that story dropped, you were like, right,

this has been extremely suboptimal the way this has gone.

But that's something that you can hang on to.

And I think that, you know, just kind of felt like it was a case that they're going to go back around some of these targets that we've kind of been linked with for most of the summer.

Pony up.

They're going to have to pay more than they would like to.

But that's the nature of it because we need the squad.

And even to compete at Europa League level, we just don't have a sufficient number of players

and positions and then from that kind of thought it just became like a slow moving car crash
