Hello everybody and welcome back for another episode of the cycle. I'm your host

Mike Mayer. Worm is still on vacation and today I'm joined by one of my favorite people

Brendan Tuma of Underdog Fantasy. Tuma thanks for joining us for the second time this season and how are you and more importantly how are you doing in your leagues this season so far?

Well it's funny to ask about the leagues of the season because you and I overlap with I think I want to say three leagues at least

two dynasty and then you know the awesome league which is run by our former colleague Dan Harris.

And but overall just, you know, busy.

I've always said, you know, baseball,

there's so much attention on, you know,

what all the players are doing in April

and the metricals into May. And May and you know I have the saying that I try to remind

myself every year that you know the championships are won in the dog days of summer and that this is you know the time of

year where there's not going to be as many flashy you know play

of performances or analysis of it but but again you know kind of of the roots of a championship season are built during, you know, the quieter times.

Yeah, absolutely. And it's funny, you mentioned the awesome league because that's a league. I don't know he's mentioned it by name but that's a

league we use as reference point a lot in the show I definitely bring it up a lot

especially for the Dan factor of just you know bringing up bringing Dan back into the show

and making sure I know he listened so I like to mention him as often as possible as I know he enjoys it and in that league like you were saying leagues are one you know the dog days of summer I was in first place for all of April and now I'm in like fifth or sixth place as I traded

Corbin Carroll to try and get some power from Matt Olson but I haven't really done enough for my power

which I've been talking about people are probably tired of me talking about about it but you know it's a struggle I'm still kind of hanging on and I'm actually I fell pretty far in the rankings and I'm fighting my way back up but I was in the lead for all of April.

I think Dan has been in the lead for about six weeks and then just today we were texting

because I opened up the standings and there I saw a tumor Tuma overtaken Dan in first place.

So as long as Dan doesn't win that league,
