by today's message. So we're starting a new series. It's going to go for the next four weeks here.

And I'm calling it Promised Land and we're talking about Moses' journey, the journey of the

Israelites to the Promised Land. And in which ways it mirrors our journey, our journey through

our walk with Christ. From the beginning of the conviction, the curse that is on our lives and then

salvation and moving through how we actually walk out our relationship with God. And so

this week, I'm calling it the curse. We're going to talk about the curse that is on us because of

the fall. And we're going to talk about how it impacts us, how it affects us and in all of those

ways. And so first, let me just give you a quick update on our lives. As I said, we're living in

Amrillo have been for about eight or nine months now. We're doing really well. We love being

there. Pastor Jimmy and Pastor Kim, which have been amazing to us. They are amazing leaders to work

under. And we love being there. And so I now have a teenager. And so life has changed quite a

bit. My son is 13. And then my daughter turned 11 yesterday. And so happy birthday, Willow. And

so we're entering into a weird time. Even today, we were at lunch with my parents. And we're

talking about how what our plan is for Grady to start driving. And then we all kind of paused and

were like, wait a second, we're having that conversation. It's like, yeah, it's two years away. So

if you have parented or are parenting teenagers, you know how that shift happens and how quickly it

happens. But another thing that's happening is that it's a, you probably know this if you've

had teenagers. But the way I compare it is like for my friends that have kids that are younger than

our teenagers, they say it's so nice that you have this, this freedom to be able to leave. They

can stay at the house alone. And you can go out for a date night or whatever. And I always tell

them, yes, it is true that having older kids physically is a lot less demanding. But emotionally
