in northern Georgia every year.

During the service, it's portrayed as the perfect place for a vacation getaway.

Below the surface, it's a different story.

The 625 billion gallons of water contained within the lake encircle a dark, secret past.

Sunk in beneath the placid azure waters are the remains of entire towns which stood in

the way of progress.

Which had been dying slow deaths and some with histories of hate and senseless murder.

Towns that had buried their dead for generations beneath the earth of the valley prior to its flooding.

These graves, which lay unmoved beneath the lake's bottom, some claim are the source of

the strange happenings that plague the lake's waters. A curse that has made this particular lake

one of the most dangerous lakes in North America.
