Paige Fox. How are you? Hi, everyone. I'm great.

I'm doing good.

So, everyone, Paige Fox is an advocate and is a lawyer, and you are by trade and estate lawyer,

and you do elder law mostly, but throughout your life, you've been involved. You were a child

of domestic violence. You had to shuffle between two homes. And you then became a friend or friends

of many people that went through domestic violence. And most of this

call, most of this podcast, we are going to discuss your involvement in a court case with one

specific friend of yours. So you became a friend. So we're going to talk about how it is to be a friend

during these situations and how to be an advocate for your friends, how to be a good friend,

and then your role as a lawyer as someone who became pro bono lawyer throughout this process as well

and everything that you experienced there, the ups, the downs, the things that frustrated you.

So before we begin, I just want to give a trigger warning that this episode discusses

physical violence and it also discusses sexual abuse, sexual assault.

And I guess, Paige, start off at the beginning and tell us a little bit about your childhood.

I practice elder law and the state planning and all that area of law in my career,

but what really has gotten me so involved and passionate about domestic violence

and domestic violence awareness are, like, you mentioned, what I went through as a kid,
