| 1:18.8 | hearts. Jesus is speaking here to his disciples and the things he's about to say flow out of |
| 1:26.5 | a revelation he's just made to them and that revelation is that he's going somewhere that they |
| 1:32.3 | cannot follow. Now we know in retrospect looking back at this through the lens of history, |
| 1:38.4 | the Jesus was talking about his death, his burial, his resurrection and eventually his ascension |
| 1:44.2 | into heaven and the disciples are sad because he's essentially saying I'm leaving and you |
| 1:51.7 | are going to be left here without me. And so Jesus here in John 14 verse number one begins to give |
| 1:58.5 | them some comfort. He says let not your hearts be troubled. Believing God, believe also in me. |
| 2:09.5 | The friends that's a very simple statement isn't it? But there's something profound about it. |
