Thank you for the great honor of being your pastor and helping

you learn the word of God. And it is in times like this that I consider it a tremendous

weight but a joy to lead and to teach. And we're in one of those historic moments that the future will be determined

by the kind of people we decide to be in this moment. This is a divine opportunity, and this is also

a demonic opportunity. We are living in a time when the entire world is stopped and the assassination, the murder,

the martyrdom of our brother and my friend, I loved him much and knew him well, Charlie Kirk.

It still feels surreal to me and I can't see a photo of him without crying.

And I'm praying a lot for his courageous, incredible wife Erica and those

beautiful children and that their mission and ministry at Turning Point would continue. And it hits

especially deep for those of us who are here in the valley because this is where his home was

and this is where his ministry was headquartered.

I first met Charlie, I think it was around five years ago.

He called and said, hey, could you ought to lunch?

I was like, with Charlie Kirk, yes, I can go to lunch.

And so we've been in touch ever since, and just love and appreciate him.
