Twas 11 years ago, I was but a wee lad watching the internet when I came across a YouTube video from Sargon Avakar.

0:12.4

And his gentle musings informed me of classical liberalism in great minds like Locke.

0:17.6

And today, this man hates liberalism and is trying, I'm kidding, but we're here to

0:22.4

debate the limits of liberalism and post-liberalism, because now there are many people who,

0:28.9

like Carl, I suppose, how would you describe yourself? Post-liber? I would call myself a traditionalist,

0:32.8

but I am a post-liberal, that is correct. Post-liberal. And I've been reading more comments from people on X,

0:39.2

seeing a lot of these debates, and finding myself in agreement with a lot of what post-liberals have

0:44.3

been saying. I mean, actually watching your show and stuff for a long period of time. So this is what

0:50.1

1:13.5

Because you'll notice that most countries that aren't liberal countries just don't have the problems that we have.

1:19.0

And so I wanted to understand why we have the problems that we have.

1:21.9

And I've come to the conclusion that I think it's liberalism itself that is at issue

1:26.6

because it's trying to bring about a world

1:28.8

that has never existed and can never exist. And so we're constantly finding ourselves

1:33.6

butting up against reality, against the idea, from the ideals of liberalism. And I think

1:40.1

there is a reasonable way that we can simply modify the ideals of liberalism to change

1:46.4

the nature of it to more fit what we are and where we want to go. All right. Connor's here as well.

1:52.4

Yes, Connor Tomlinson, also co-host over at lotatises.com. Host my own show, Tomlinson talks on

1:58.0

Wednesday afternoon's there, occasionally pop up in various magazines and on the new culture forum and the like.

2:03.0

If I were to describe myself, check my Twitter bio at Zuma Catholic Reactionary in that order.
