All right, we've made it through the sticky middle, and now we are barreling towards the end, towards the finale, the resolution, but I think you all know by now that I do not like resolution in my stories. I like cliffhangers and I like loose ends but you're not

supposed to do that in a novel so I'm doing my best. I also have a hard time not letting everybody

know exactly who the bad guy is from the jump but I've tried my hardest here. My biggest goal is to

write a series of cozy paranormal mysteries and that has been my sticking point.

You can't know who the bad guy is on page five.

So we shall see.

But when we last left everyone, Lucky and May were headed out into the woods to find Cat.

So, here we go.

Chapter 59

It was raining steadily as we entered the woods.

The only thing that cut me from running to my car was knowing that Lucky would go in alone if I didn't go with her.

I couldn't let her do that.

We were halfway down the first path to the connector trail when her phone rang.

It was Evelyn.

I listened to Lucky's side of the conversation.

Oh, good.

Wait, why would she write that?

You have no idea?

Well, we're on the trail.

Just let us know if you hear anything else from her.

She rang off, continuing on at a faster pace.

Evelyn got a text from Kat this morning, but it got buried in a bunch of other messages, so she missed it.
