This is one of my favourite stories because of how much Martin wants to do the same things as his daddy.

bordered by the brown farm horse fence on one side and a line of forsythia bushes on the other they can also see the sparkling of the brook that lines the back of their yard most of the year the brook is quite slow and shallow, but during the spring, it swells with lots of extra water which rushes by quickly.

Every year when the brook gets deep and fast like that,
