Well, Landon mentioned it during the giving, but we spent this last week at Passion Camp

down in Daytona, Florida, with about 6,000 young people and their leaders, preaching to them

about the goodness of God available through the grace of Jesus Christ.

It was an amazing week, and it was pretty powerful.

And it took a lot of effort to organize and put on and host thousands of middle school and

high school kids to hear about Jesus. It took a lot of effort for Landon, for the team up here.

And like Landon mentioned, and it's mind-blowing,

I don't know if you fully appreciate it,

people who work in this city, who have jobs with goals,

took their vacation time and used it to sit on a bus for 12 hours

with middle school children as they drove down to Florida and then spent

that week helping those children move to and fro to hear about the grace of Jesus available

in their lives. And so the question I'm going to ask at the beginning is, yeah, it's worth

celebrating.

But let's be honest, some of you didn't clap because you're like, yeah, I don't know why they would do that.

Why would they do that?

We as a church spent hundreds of work hours and thousands of dollars to support local ministries this summer through

Love, D.C., to help alleviate human suffering, educate kids, help different ministry programs that

help children thrive in the city. We spent a lot of money as a church and time to help other people.
