presents something of a special episode. Fathers and Sons, as the Ivan Turgenev book was called,

Lowe those many years ago. It's about fathers and sons, particularly the prospect of Catholic fatherhood. And I would say more accurately,

the crisis of Catholic fatherhood. The crisis of absconding fathers, as Benedict

the 16th named the problem shortly before the Holy Father absconded.

Today with me to discuss this problem, unpack it a little bit, are authors, David and Stephen Arms.

Yeah. So if people out there are scratching their heads, they, these are, this is not a union of

man's.

They share the same last name, surnominally by the usual passage, the ordinary

and beautiful natural passage. You guys are a pair of a father and a son, and we're going to

talk about some of the things that you're out there talking about as we go through today. But I want to

start out a little more broadly. I've there talking about as we go through today. But I want to start out a little more broadly.

I've been talking about this on a Catholic group chat a lot lately.

The main problem in the world today, Benedict XVI, says, is relativism when you're speaking ideologically.

We're talking etiologically for that mode of speaking ideologically, meaning what's the cause of the problem? He says it is absconding

fathers. What do you guys say? David, you are the father here.
