She knows everyone's names and as she's talking it becomes clear that she's doing much more than just taking care of their children.

She asks about their older kids who are at school.

One of the moms is telling her she's worried because it's her daughter's 9th birthday and she can't afford to buy her a present.

She became 9 yesterday and she was asking me, Mama, I need a present.

You want your kids to be happy too. Is that beside?

Nurseries like the Playhouse provide a vital community service.

But across the country they're at risk of closing because they haven't got enough money.
