Hello, thank you for joining me today for Give Him 15, the title of today's post,

The Creative Power of God's Word.

Ephesion 617 tells us, take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is

the Word of God.

I'm constantly amazed at how many prayer meetings I attend

where so little of the Word of God is implemented.

The greatest weapon God has given us often goes unsheathed.

If Christ, our greatest example,

used the spoken word as his number one weapon against Satan,

shouldn't we use it regularly?

God's word is more than just a weapon, however. It creates.

The Hebrew word, Asa, translated create in the Genesis account of creation,

also means to accomplish, do, and perform. It's used accordingly in the following familiar

verses which reference God's spoken words. Numbers 2319. God is not a man that he should

lie nor a son of man that he should repent. Has he said and will he not do it? Asa, same word as

creation in Genesis.

Isaiah 5511, so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth.

It will not return to me empty without accomplishing assa what I desire.

Same word as create in Genesis. Jeremiah 112, the Lord said to me, that is to Jeremiah, you've seen well for my, for I'm watching over my word to perform.

Asa, perform it.

Same word is creation.

God's word does.
