So what am I talking about?

First up, this dates this episode a little bit but just recently here in December of

23 a bunch of people got together, 200 countries at something

called the COP28, the climate negotiations in Dubai, and they came to some agreements.

First, the outcome of COP28 has secured the 1.5 degrees Celsius goal as the North Star to

collective climate ambition. Second, for the first time,

nations have formally agreed to transition away from fossil fuels in a just in equitable

manner by the year 2050. Can that be done? Can it be done at all, let alone justly inequitably?

Is a grounding, let's remember there is no such thing as a low energy rich country.

So what they're saying in the green energy climate change debate is they're saying, look, we're going to get away from the energy that has given us all of our prosperity, all of our GDP, all of our comfortable lives, and we're going to

get this by other means. But let's remember, there is no such thing as a low energy rich country.
