Welcome to Extra Point Taken. That's right. We've got a name for the Monday Night Show.

After dark on the ringer NFL feed, I'm Shield Kapadia joined by Ben Solak.

We're coming to you every Monday night after Monday night football.

The format is simple. We're each going to offer three takes. One of us will give the extra point.

Ben, did I do a good job explaining that? But it's fairly simple. If you hadn't, I would have been very disappointed.

It's like two lines worth of explanation.

We are coming off a Cowboys 23 16 win over the New York Giants.

I wouldn't say this is a game where they're going to be writing like oral histories about this game

10 years from now. But we got some entertaining football in the second half.

And so Ben, I'm just going to start us off right away. I mean, my takeaway from this game is that the Cowboys aren't dead yet.

I thought the Cowboys were dead when Dak Prescott suffered that injury in week one.

And they looked terrible. I said right off the Cowboys are no longer going to be in the picture.

Since then they win two games. They're two and one. They've got the commanders next week.

I would expect them to be favorites in that game. If they're three and two, three and three when Dak Prescott comes back will all of a sudden now

they're still in the mix in the NFC because the NFC isn't that impressive. I mean since Prescott went down, the Saints haven't been impressive.

They're having been these surprise teams that have emerged. And so the commanders look terrible. They beat the Giants tonight.
