Summary

In more typical years than what we all experienced in 2020, the holiday seasons mean families are gathering, gifts are exchanged, and for some, it's the most joyous time of the year. On Christmas Eve of 2008, Joseph "Papa Joe" Ortega and his wife Alicia, were hosting a festive holiday party for their children and grandchildren at their home in Covina, California. 0:46.1	Basically, a tree branch went through his knee and punctured his joint.
0:50.0	The wound then got infected and it spread into his bone and up his leg.
0:54.3	However, we had a great team of doctors who were absolutely amazing.
0:59.0	And so we made it home and he's getting better every day.
