Well, there's not much to say at the beginning of this podcast, except for if you didn't listen to part one of our two and a half hour COVID discussion, please go back and listen to that because we're just about to jump right into our second part of that discussion.

So get ready for another two and a half hours of Abby and I discussing COVID.

The way that people get on a high horse about the hissing contest aspect of how anti-establishment,

how like anti-deep state, how anti-pharmaceutical, how anti-authority you are, for example,

and this is a guy who follows me on Twitter, so there's totally no shade on him.

But, you know, to me it seems lacking some understanding. So, like,

I don't see eye to eye with Yasha Levine on the pandemic issue, but I, but I, but I noticed

someone who sort of, I think is like a mutual fan of both of ours or something who was like,

this guy who wrote surveillance valley doesn't think like burgeoning,

biometric surveillance grid is a big deal. And he posted like a little meme of like a guy

smoking with the bloodshot eyes, like the black and white like thing. And what's interesting

about that comment, what's particularly interesting to me about that comment, Abby, is I know,

and maybe I'm speaking a little bit out of turn here, but I feel like I know pretty well that

Yasha Levine wrote Surveillance Valley partially in the climate of like the Snowden NSA leaks

and the way people were reacting to the NSA leaks being like, now brother is coming to get us like now we're screwed

this surveillance grid is here now and now is the dangerous time and yasha levin's take was more like

actually the entire internet from the very beginning was a military creation and this whole like tor like crypto encryption thing is also like it seems

like it could also be like a trap and hey maybe the entire internet from the very beginning people

were that was their idea from the very beginning was sort of i think his perspective so it's just

funny to me to someone use that book as like a counter to his
