If you'll turn in your Bibles to our text of the morning in Genesis Chapter 11, beginning with

verse 31 through 12, 3, and then picking up the narrative in chapter 15 verse 1.

Tara took Abram his son and Lach the son of Heerun, his grandson, and Sarah his daughter-in-law, his son

Abrams wife, and they went forth together from Ur of the Caledians to go into the

land of Canaan. But when they came to Heron, they settled there. The days of

Terra were 2005 years, and Terra died in Harran. Now the Lord said to Abram,

go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you and I will make of you a great

nation and I will bless you and make your name great so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who

bless you and him who curses you I will curse and by you all the families of the earth shall bless themselves.

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision. Fear not Abram I am your shield. Your

reward shall be very great. But Abram said, O Lord God, what will thou give me, for I continue childless and the air of my

houses Ileaser of Damascus?

And Abraham said,

behold thou hast given me no offspring,

and a slave born in my house will be my heir.

And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, this man shall not be your heir,

your own son shall be your heir. And he brought him outside and said,

Look toward heaven and number the stars if you are able to number them.

Then he said to him,

So shall your descendants be. he believed the Lord and he reckoned it to him as righteousness.

In the beginning, God the Father through the Agency of the Son created out of nothing all that is not God by the Word of his command. And since that time moment by moment has held in

being all things by that same word of power so that every new existence that happens is his peculiar creation.
