Hey, hey, Saddleback Church.

Wow, it is so great to be here with you today.

And I want to first give a warm welcome to all of our campuses and those of you online, our Saddleback Online family.

We are so glad that you are here with us today. Now, we are in the

middle of a message series called Uncommon Courage. And for the last few weeks, we've been talking

about how courage is often that character quality in our life. It's the thing. It's the ingredient

that helps us step into the life that God has for us. And when we lack

courage, sometimes that's the thing that keeps us in these frustrating cycles of like, we're

disappointed with ourselves, we're disappointed with our choices, because we just lack the courage

that we need to step into what it is that God has for us.

And Andy gave us this definition of courage.

And it's the ability to make the hard, right choice, even at great personal costs.

Now, the reality is that all of us are coming from different walks of life.

We are at different stages of life.

And so we have different obstacles in front of us that require courage. And so I was thinking about our students in the room and our singles in the room,

and maybe the hard right decision for you is to choose to live a life of purity,

to live a life that has a different moral standard than the rest of the world around you.

And that's a hard choice. And if you

make that choice, it's going to probably cost you. It's going to cost you maybe some friendships.

It might make you feel a little bit more isolated from different groups of people that just

don't understand your choices and your lifestyle. Or I was also thinking about all of you that are building your careers right now,

and it feels like so much is crushing in on you,
