Now's Aiman Mohedin interviewed the Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aradzhi. Aradhi answered questions

about his negotiations with the Trump administration in the final days before the war.

He was asked about the UN condemnation of Iran targeting its neighbors and about the

American attacks in Iran overnight.

We're going to bring you that conversation in full in just a few minutes.

But first, here's where things stand.

In those attacks overnight, the U.S. struck military targets on Iran's Karg Island in the Persian Gulf.

This is the northwest part of the Persian Gulf, sort of the opposite side to the Strait of Hormuz.

This is a critical hub for Iranian oil. But in his statement announcing the strikes, President

Trump said he had specifically chosen not to target the island's oil infrastructure,

although he threatened to do so later. According to reporting by the Associated Press,

a missile hit the U.S. embassy in Baghdad. We learned yesterday that six U.S. crew members

aboard a military refueling plane died after it crashed in Iraq while taking part in Iran's war operations. MS now has learned

the military is sending 5,000 additional service members to the Arabian Sea, including 2,000 U.S.

Marines. Every day, the U.N. pounds Iran with even more bombs than the day before, Defense Secretary

Hegson said yesterday, been much death and

destruction, including 175 people at a girls' school in Iran and at least 13 U.S. service
