| 0:00.0 | Hey, it's Antrice and welcome to another episode of the Savvy Painer Podcast. |
| 0:06.5 | The Savvy Painter Podcast is the podcast for artists who want practical tactical tips to create and practice that is both fulfilling and meaningful. |
| 0:16.5 | So in this episode, I want to talk today about something that we haven't talked about directly, |
| 0:22.1 | but it affects so many of us artists. |
| 0:25.1 | I know I've talked a lot on this podcast about failure and about the different kind of fears that we have, |
| 0:33.9 | or whether or not we're really that talented, or whether or not we're allowed to paint what we |
| 0:40.3 | want to paint, fears like that. But what I want to talk about today that affects so many of us |
| 0:47.1 | is just waiting. And more specifically, the cost of waiting. Because most people think that waiting is neutral, |

| 1:22.9 | that they think that they need to know about being an artist and what they need to do when and all of these things, |
| 1:28.9 | but they have a general idea. |
| 1:31.2 | And yet they still will just kind of set things aside, not make decisions, delay making decisions, things like that. |
| 1:43.2 | So if you've ever felt like you're thinking a lot about |
| 1:47.9 | your work, like you're planning a lot, you're learning a lot, but somehow you're still not moving |
| 1:55.2 | or taking action in the way that you want to, this episode is for you. And if this is you, I want to tell you |
| 2:04.5 | that nothing has gone wrong. And just to say this up front, this episode is not about giving |
| 2:10.1 | you a guilt trip or wagging my finger at you with a like get your act together type of episode. |
| 2:16.8 | What I'd like to offer you today is a way to |
| 2:20.3 | see this idea clearly so that you can decide what you want to do with that clarity. |
| 2:28.3 | Now before we dive in, I just want you to notice, just notice, become aware of where you might be waiting or where |
