I'm Frey Lindsay, and you're out here with me and the crew of the charity rescue ship,

The Ocean Viking, in the Mediterranean Sea.

Three years ago, do you have a bearing?

Yes, from the ship, bearing two to nine, our starboard side.

It's about two in the morning, and the crew have been alerted to the presence of a small boat

carrying 113 people in severe distress, around 100 miles north of the Libyan coast.

As we heard in yesterday's program, those 113 people were rescued from a very uncertain fate and brought on board the Ocean Viking.

I'm really, really happy. Thanks to God. Thanks for ocean Viking. We are really grateful

for your hospitality, for your care, and for everything. In that program, we also heard about the

various prices that people pay to make that journey. People like Muhammad, a young man from Cote d'Ivoire.

First I went to Burkina Faso, then I traveled across the Sahara.

It was very difficult.

We had no water.

People died.

When we got to Libya, we thought we would have opportunities.

But when we found it, it was hell on earth.

I tried to cross, but I was kidnapped by a Libyan militia.
