Summary

One of the first things President Biden did after being sworn in was put an immediate stop to the Keystone XL Pipeline project. The move was met with instant pushback as Republicans say the decision was a jobs killer. Montana is one of the states feeling the impact of the decision . Its Governor Greg Gianforte discusses the economic ramifications of cancelling the pipeline and his efforts to get President Biden to reconsider. Gianforte also explains why he believes his state has been so successful at distributing the COVID-19 vaccine. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released updated guidance Wednesday that found wearing a cloth mask over a surgical mask offers more protection from coronavirus spread, as does using a properly fitting mask. This week we also heard from the World Health Organization about the possible origins of COVID-19 after a team of experts conducted an investigation in Wuhan, China. Officials struck down the theory that the virus escaped from a lab in Wuhan and that instead it was transferred from animals to humans. Dr. Marty Makary, professor of surgery and health policy at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Fox News medical contributor weighs in on the CDC's double masking recommendation and explains why he thinks the WHO investigation is mostly a show. Plus, commentary by author and the vice president of communications for Focus on the Family Paul Batura. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
