Hi, I'm Deena Marie, the host of the Twisted Philly podcast.

I'd like to welcome you to this twisted journey, and thank you for checking out the show.

Let me tell you a little bit about me and Twisted Philly.

I tell stories about Philadelphia and Pennsylvania.

Sometimes we stay within or very close to the city of Brotherly Love and Sisterly

affection. And in other episodes we venture further out into Northeast Pennsylvania, Central PA, and Pittsburgh.

I like to say Twisted Philly is a mix of stories about mischief, mayhem, mystery, and the macabre.

The show doesn't fall into one particular genre.

You'll hear stories about horrible crimes and the resilience that followed.

You'll learn about our history, my favorite places to visit in and outside of Philadelphia.

I love the paranormal and a spooky ghost story, so there's a good dose of haunted history too.

I interview authors and other creators. Basically

Twisted Philly is my love song to and about the city and the state I love.

It's where I grew up and live today.

Twisted Philly sometimes includes adult subject matter and adult language.

By adult language, I mean profanity.

There isn't an inordinate amount of profanity, but I'm known to drop an F-bomb here and there.

Some episodes have very little adult language.

It depends on the topic and how I feel about that topic while I'm sharing the story with you.

Twisted Philly is not a family show.

While some episodes may be topics you would very much like to discuss with your family,

I encourage you to listen first on your own.
