Yes indeed and as we said at the top of the show this is companies that have to issue an

apology. We have Hertz Rent a car. We have Air Canada and the rather luxury hotel

chain Rich Carlton.

But let's start with Hertz Rent-a-Car.

Now, Hertz, they have apologized to a Puerto Rican customer

after one of its employees refused to let them rent a car that he paid for in advance because a guy didn't show a passport.

Humberto Marchin, he said that he traveled to New Orleans, presented his Puerto Rican driver's

license at the Hurts counter at the Louis Armstrong International Airport.

Did it pop pop! Now the employee asked for his passport even though like all Puerto Ricans

merchant he's a US citizen. They're not to have a passport to rent a car in the United States.

In case you don't know, Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the US.

Anyone born on the island is by law, a US citizen.

Anyway, Hurt said that the company they do accept Puerto Rican driver's licenses from customers

without requiring a ballot passport, saying, quote, we sincerely regret that our policy was

not followed and have apologized to Mr. Marchin and refunded his rental.
