of the 35th President of the United States, John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

So tonight, of course, we dedicate the entire program to commemorating that fateful

day back November 22nd in 1963. Kennedy was in Texas on a political trip. He was there to smooth over frictions in the Democratic

Party between liberals like Ralph Yarborough and Don Yarborough, no relation, and

conservative Democrat, John Connley of course, who was governor.

A little bit later in the program, we're going to talk with Philip Nelson,

who's written a book in which he points the finger at the

vice president at the time, Linden Baines Johnson, L.B.J. as being the man who really orchestrated this assassination. And he'll tell us

exactly why he believes that's the case.
