We're going to talk about inventors and inventions tonight, and I've always been fascinated by inventors.

I'd love to crawl inside the mind of an inventor.

What makes these people tick?

Now, I'm not talking about necessarily people that, you know,

wear white lab coats and work for universities where they receive, you know,

millions and millions of dollars in research and development money.

I'm talking about the backyard tinkerer, the guy that, the guy or gal who toils away in a

dank basement somewhere with a Bunsen burner and test tubes and maybe is self-taught has

very little formal training.
