Previously, Lindsay spent 17 years at the Heritage Foundation, leading education policy research.

Today, she's joining me to talk about education reform in 2025, ideological battles when it comes

to education, and how conservative women can navigate college campuses with confidence.

President Trump said he wanted to close the Department of Education. Should we close the Department of Education?

So this was an executive order that was issued early on, and it is absolutely the goal every

single day to work toward returning education to the States where it rightly belongs.

And honestly, it's just such an honor every day to help advance the administration's

agenda to do that, to actually restore education to states and to families, because as you know,

well, it is not an enumerated power of the federal government. It is quintessentially a state and local

issue. And so all of our efforts here are really in service of that end goal to situate dollars in

decision making as close to the students.

Those decisions affect as possible.

And that begins with returning education to the states.

What are you most excited about when it comes to what some of the states are doing

in the education reform space? Well, I'm sure you can anticipate my answer to this, but obviously

it's school choice. But I will say, you know, this is, we are at the 100th anniversary of

Pierce v. Society of Sisters, which I'm sure many of your listeners will already be
