I'm looking forward to this conversation. You participated in the New Student Media Fellowship

last year, where you wrote a piece that got a lot of attention. It was titled, TikTok and Instagram turned me into a leftist.

Here's how X helped me escape,

which was published by the college fix.

How did social media turn you into a leftist?

Right.

Well, that story definitely has a catchy title,

which is why I think it got so much attention.

And that title is definitely true.

Of course, there were other influences in my life that caused me to be left leaning.

But social media really, I think, had the biggest impact. And there are two main reasons why I think social media really made me ultra progressive and why I've seen it

happen to so many other people my age two. The first reason, you know, is that social media,

in my opinion, often creates a false perception of what the popular opinion is. I think a lot of

people are influenced by what they think the popular opinion is.
