at the Fund for American Studies.

researching a wide range of policy issues from income inequality to the political economics of terrorism.

I'd like to focus today's conversation on your research around economic freedom.

For all the non-economists out there listening, can you define it for us? And what does

economic freedom mean broadly speaking? I love this kickoff question because I think it's one of

those topics that sounds like dry and boring. And it's a big project that includes evaluating a lot of
