Let's talk about Sam Darnold because quarterback Sam Darnold just signed a three-year,

$100 million contract with Seattle.

He's coming off his best year in the NFL.

Last year, he had 35 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions and led the Vikings to a playoff

game.

I think Seahawks fans should be somewhat happy. Sam Darnold turns 28 this summer.

Their former quarterback, Gino Smith is going to turn 35 later in the year in October. And so

Seattle got a little bit younger at quarterback and they spent a little less money than Gino

would have cost him. I think all and all I go, hey, younger,

cheaper, I don't know if better, we can have that conversation about Sam Darnold. I have

reservations about Sam Darnold because last year, he played on a loaded team, a really, really good

Minnesota Vikings team. He had great coaching. He had the best wide receiver in football,

Justin Jefferson. You can argue Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase. I think JJ, but look, if you

want to argue Jamar Chase, I won't fault you, but there's certainly the number one and number two guys

in football. I don't know about you. As a quarterback, when you got a great receiver like that,

your life is significantly easier.

They had a stable running game last year.

Outside of Justin Jefferson, they also had Jordan Addison, T.J. Hawkinson,

it has receiving weapons.

The final two games of the year, though, are a problem.

When you reflect back on the Viking season, you know, they went into the final game of

the year, Week 18, Road game at Detroit. They win that game. They're the number one seed in the
