infamous moments. And I was curious to see how they were going to do it because in the real life

case, he said he was sexually assaulted. Oh, and we don't do that in this movie. Well, we kind of do

because when he levitates off the bed, we can see the old lady goes climbing on top of

him but you're not meant to be like oh she's fucking riding him so i was interested that we kind

of start to go there but i think it's really easy to just say oh yeah she's just on top of him as someone

who didn't know that aspect of the true story. It didn't come across.

I did not come across to me at all. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Because a bunch of people were like, um, what's up with the kinky sex thing? Because if it isn't happening and he's publicly, like, I don't know, I haven't delved into all of the details of the Smurl case. I'm actually just starting my research now, but part of me was like, is he talking about like finger in the butt stuff?

Maybe. I mean, maybe, maybe. But while he's going through all this, Heather, again, this is kind of like, again, like, been there, done that, but I really liked this. Heather watching this birthday tape. Yes. Yeah.

And I love having to watch her pause together.

This was the analog nostalgia that I needed from this movie.

Yes, it was so satisfying because I remember trying to do this with, yes, video but also taped where you're like trying to tape something off the radio and you're trying to, like, pause the recording before we go to commercial before the DJ comes back on. Like, this kind of shit where you were like, the kids will never understand. I was, like, cackling silently to myself while I was watching this. I was like, this is so good. And again, yes, of course, there's a face blowing out the candle in the edge.

Yeah, of course, but we knew it was going to be there. But it's, I think it's still really creepy. And I would have taken more from Heather in this. The first act really sets her up as kind of the focus of this side of the story. Yeah, you think she's going to be the new Janet, a la conjuring too. And we don't do that with her.

No, I think this is really the last big thing that she gets to do. Yeah, yeah, and then she gets attacked by an axe-wielding ghost man because that is the third ghost we have in this house. Who fucking cares, man? I know. This is the kind of thing where I was like, it's good. like people in my audience were definitely reacting to this.
