Once upon a time there was a girl named Mia.

And Mia loved to play outside and hunt for rocks in gems with her dog, Gemma.

One day as she was searching the ground around her house for the next beautiful stone

for her collection, she saw something on the ground that was definitely not like the other

rocks she had been searching for.

So she reached down and picked it up and saw that it was a small, black box. And as she held it in her hands, she opened it up and saw that it was a small black box.

And then she held it in her hands, she opened it up.

And what she found inside was a folded up circular contraption of some kind.

And when she got it all unfolded and opened up that circular contraption,

she saw it almost looked like a dial of some kind, almost like it was a watch or a clock or something, but she didn't know what it was. So she ran inside to show her mom and her mom said,

Huh. Well, look at that. It looks like you found a compass, Mia. It's something that you can use to navigate around if you're lost,

or if you're somewhere in the wilderness. You see that dial with the red arrow in the middle?

It always points north. So if you ever get lost, as long as you have that compass with you,

you'll have a better idea for what direction you're walking in.

Okay, said Mia, as she walked back outside to figure out how to use it.

But as she walked outside and looked down at the compass, she saw that the dial on the compass

started turning all by itself.

And what was even weirder was that it was not pointing north like her mother

said it was supposed to. So she went back and found the box that she had discovered the compass

inside of and she picked it up again and this time she noticed in the box something she hadn't
