The podcast where us five live commentators talk about our travels, the football and the

language we use to describe it. Correspondent John Murray is here. Ian Dennis senior reporter.

Hello, John. Ian Dennis is going to join us shortly. Just mentioning our travels there,

where are you and why are you there? I am joining you from Wembley Stadium, from outside

Wembley Stadium where I have not long ago been interviewing Thomas Tuchel about his first

England squad of the season. So yeah, interesting and plenty to discuss. Well, we'll get

on to the details of that in a bit, John.

I was just thinking from your point of view, from the correspondence point of view,

you will have covered many squad announcements.

Obviously, it's not as exciting as watching England play, play football live,

wherever they're playing, but it is an important part of the job.

And in terms of today's sort of squad announcement

where does it rank on a sort of level of of interest because some must just come and go

and you know which names are going to be mentioned or whatever i guess because Thomas

Tuchel is still relatively new in here that these are quite interesting

well given what you can hear at the moment that's quite's quite appropriate because there was a good deal of reversing from Thomas Tuchel following his comments at the end of last season about Jude Bellingham when he used the word repulsive. Do you remember? In a live interview, he said that his mother, Thomas Tuchel's

mother, found some of what Jude Bellingham gets up to on the field as repulsive. And obviously

today, the first sort of scenario where he's been facing the mass media, he was asked about that

and gave an absolutely fulsome apology. It was my responsibility. I used it unintentionally.
