over 37 years as an Army officer.

General Petraeus served as commanding general multinational force Iraq from

February 2007 to September 2008. In this role he oversaw all coalition forces in Iraq.

Then he served as commander U.S. Central Command from October 08 to June 2010 and later as

commander of the International Security Assistance Force and Commander U.S. Forces Afghanistan

from July 2010 to July 2011.

It was then that President Obama nominated him to become the next

director of the Central Intelligence Agency, where he served from September 2011 until
