All right, everyone, welcome to Making the Argument. I am your host, Nick Freitas, and we have a special

episode for you today. If you've been watching a while back, one of our most popular episodes is when

all of us were sitting around the table and we were doing an analysis of this video called

the Coming Right Wing Backlash by Rudyard Lynch.

And he hosts a channel called What If Alt Hist, along with a podcast called Common Ground.

But What If Alt Hist was something where I just stumbled across as it showed up in my YouTube feed one day.

And the next thing I know, like four hours later, I was like, oh, crap, I need to get to work.

I just gone down the rabbit hole of watching this incredibly interesting channel that talked

about history, that talked about politics, culture, anthropology, and all of the videos I felt

were really unique and very easy to listen to, very informative.

In fact, when I'm looking at YouTube,

there's kind of three categories I put all the videos into. There's my information videos,

and I'm watching these just strictly for educational purposes. And then there's the entertainment,

right? These are when I'm watching all the cold opens from the office or something like that,

right? I'm getting a lot of entertainment, but not a lot of information value.

And then there's those ones where you just have this beautiful intersection of informative and entertaining.

And I am telling you, what if Alt Hist just nails it.

And so we're really excited to have the creator, researcher, host of What If Alt hiss with us today.
