Mono Gonzalez here in studio with our good friend Dr. Nathan Jones,

0:06.0

and we're going to be talking about what I hope you are excited for is the millennial period.

0:10.0

What is it? What are you going to be doing?

0:12.0

Stick around. Well, here we are, Nathan, good to see you.

0:34.6

Always a pleasure to be on with you, Mondead. And And you know, this, you have a brand new book out, the millennial kingdom, which I had an opportunity to read a long time ago now.

0:46.3

And he gave a beautiful endorsement of this.

0:48.3

Thank you so much.

0:49.3

And it was neat because you were working on your red heifer book the same time I was working on that book so we could compare notes and just talk about that. So I hope the Lord has blessed that book. Oh, absolutely. And, you know, as I mentioned in the beginning, as you think about the millennium, you know, what is it? And so many people don't understand it. I told you earlier that I don't want to talk about this is that I was able to give a presentation on the Millennium here in Singapore recently.

1:12.6

And I was shocked at how many Christians came in and were like,

1:15.6

I've never heard anything on the Millennium before.

1:17.6

And so kind of give us the background of, you know, why you wrote this and what you have found so far on people,

1:23.6

whether they really understand or not.

1:25.6

You bring up an excellent point because one of the reasons I wrote is because most people think that Jesus will come back someday and they'll go to heaven and they'll sit on clouds and they'll play harps and that's the end of the story. But the Bible has so much more details about it. When I was writing this book, I wanted to call it the Forgotten Kingdom. And I talked with the publisher about that and I said, well, that sounds more like a novel. We're going to go with the coming millennial kingdom. But I thought it was better as the forgotten kingdom because so few Christians know about the millennial kingdom. And so the Bible prophesies. It goes back to 2nd Samuel 7, where God made a covenant, a promise with David. He said, I will set up your seed after you,

2:02.2

and I will establish the throne of his, the Messiah's kingdom forever. So this is an ironclad

2:07.5

promise that the Messiah will come back and set up his kingdom on this earth. Now, some people

2:13.3

spiritualize that. They say, well, you know, we're in the church age, we're the spiritual kingdom,

2:17.7

and this is the kingdom that the Lord has established. But I think that the best person who explained

2:23.2

that was Cotton Mather. He was a Puritan pastor back in the 1700s, and he called it the fourfold

2:29.1

kingdom of Christ. He said, there is a spiritual aspect of the kingdom, and certainly Jesus says this kingdom is not of my earth. There is a spiritual realm to that kingdom. There's a providential realm. In other words, God is sovereign overall. There's no debating that. The third fold, Cotton says, it's in a ecclesiastical kingdom. In other words, a church age kingdom. And Mono, this is where a lot of Christians park on that and say,

2:51.7

well, there we go, the church is the kingdom. We're living in the kingdom now. We're also living

2:56.0

in the tribulation now. And, you know, those two things don't mesh. And Cotton pointed out,
