a sycophantic party apparatus that for the

moment controls both chambers of Congress, harnessing the power of the military against its own

people. I feel a great sense of urgency today, and those who want to preserve and strengthen

American values and American democracy should feel it too.

But how can we make sure our political system is up to the task?
