Summary

The Colonial Parkway is a historic and scenic road that links together the three points of Virginia's Historic Triangle: Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown.

Located roughly halfway between Richmond and Virginia Beach, the Colonial Parkway spans approximately 22 miles in southeastern Virginia and is an incredibly beautiful drive during daytime hours. At night, however, it can become haunting - surrounded by darkened patches of woods - and without any lights to illuminate the road.

This duality is perfectly expressed in the history of the Parkway itself, which is an incredibly scenic and vibrant piece of American history, but also happens to be ground zero for one of the nation's most brutal crime sprees... which remains clouded in doubt and tragedy more than three decades later.
